We understand that you want to focus on the aspects of Qflow that matter the most to you and your role.
As such, we have created a series of different user roles with different levels of access and permissions across the Qflow Web Platform.
Please note: each project has only one username and password for the app, which can be shared among multiple users. This setup is because the app is solely used for uploading data, with no storage or access to ticket data within the app itself.
What are the user roles?
There are five different user roles available in the Qflow Web Platform. These include:
-
- Assignee
- Reader
- Contributor
- Project Admin
- Account Admin
Different roles can be assigned to the same user in various projects, allowing a user to serve as a Project Admin in one project and as a Reader in another.
When requesting to add a user, you can specify which projects you would like the user to have access to.
They will only be able to see the records of the projects they are specifically added.
Project admins or account admins can view and change the access and permission levels of users at any time.

Assignee -
Assignees cannot view any projects within Qflow, but they can be assigned to view (Reader) or edit (Contributor) specific records by Project or Account Admins.
This is typically used for subcontractors and/or suppliers who only need to contribute to particular records and do not need to see all project data.
Reader -
Readers can view the project(s) Record and Alerts data, but cannot edit any of the data, or download any CSV exports which are generated.
Once a user is a Reader, they can then be assigned as a Contributor to specific Records. This allows them to only be able to edit Records they are assigned to.
Contributor -
Contributors can view the project(s) Record and Alerts data, and can also edit the data, including generating and downloading CSV reports.
It is typical for the main contractor and developer teams (Sustainability Managers, Finance Controllers etc) and some subcontractors to be a Contributor.
Project Admin -
Project Admins can undertake the same actions as a Contributor, but they can also view and edit the project users.
This includes the ability to:
- enable/disable access,
- amend role types,
- enable/disable email notifications for any individual project user.
It is typical for the main contractor and/or developer team (Sustainability Managers, Project Administrators, etc) to be a Project Admin. We recommend that this is limited to no more than 2 people, but each team can manage this as they see fit.
Account Admin -
Account Admins can undertake the same actions as a Project Admin, but they can do this across multiple projects within a company account, including the ability to set other Project Admins.
It is typical for the main contractor and/or developer team (Sustainability Managers, Project Administrators, etc) to be an Account Admin.
We recommend that this is limited to no more than 2 people, but each team can manage this as they see fit.
