The different types of Alerts available on the Qflow portal are:
- Material Certifications
- Waste Compliance
- Submission Issues
- Quality Assurance
Alerts requiring actions can be closed by either resolving or dismissing them.
Closing an alert is crucial for maintaining an organised Alerts page and ensuring you concentrate on active issues only.
Once an alert is closed or dismissed, it remains on the Alerts page but is displayed in strikethrough grey font to signify its resolved status. You can use the 'Including Dismissed' filter on the Alerts page to view closed and/or open alerts.
This approach helps keep a clear record of past activities while clearly distinguishing between resolved and ongoing issues that still require attention.
Resolving an Alert
Follow these steps to resolve an alert:
- Open the record associated with the event by clicking the provided link.
- Missing data that needs attention will be highlighted in the Alerts section on the right-hand side of the record page.
When you click the ‘Edit’ button, you will see a red flag next to the field which needs updating.
- The edit page will display the necessary data that needs to be added, as indicated by the red flag.
- After editing, click ‘Apply’ at the top of the page.
This automatically resolves the alert (the flag will disappear after a couple of minutes).
Dismissing an Alert
An alert may be dismissed – only if you and your team have determined that a flagged issue in Qflow is not applicable to your situation or the relevant issue has been resolved.
For example, Qflow has flagged that a steel delivery does not have an associated CARES certificate, but your project doesn’t need steel to have a CARES certificate.
To do this, navigate to the Alerts page and select the tick box for the flags you wish to remove. A pop-up will appear at the top of the page, click 'Dismiss' to remove the flag.
Any dismissed alerts will be reflected in the compliance dashboards after 24 hours, showing up as yellow in the bar chart and an increased compliance percentage.
