Understanding Alerts
Alerts are triggered automatically based on your project rules, flagging things like:
- Missing data required for compliance purposes.
- Poor quality photo uploads.
Previously, notifications from triggered alerts (also referred to as Issues) would show in the Events pages for both waste and deliveries. These Issues have now moved to the Alerts page so you’ll see all compliance issues in one page.
Why assign an Alert?
Assigning alerts ensures that specific issues are addressed by the appropriate team members or users. This process helps manage and resolve problems efficiently by delegating tasks based on expertise or responsibility, ensuring that each issue is tackled in a timely manner.
How to review existing Alerts
To locate specific alerts:
- Navigate to the Alerts page.
- Use the filters located at the top of the page to select the relevant project, type, and specific dates to narrow down the alerts you are interested in viewing.
Each triggered alert will show a description of why it has been raised along with associated contractors and suppliers/carriers where relevant.
Top tip: Filtering by the contractor will show all alerts related to a specific contractor. This can make it easier when assigning tasks to different contractors.
How to assign an alert to a user?
To assign alerts for resolution:
Step 1 - Select the checkboxes next to the alerts you want to assign.
Step 2 - Click 'Assign' at the top of the page.
Step 3 - Choose the user and set permissions using the dropdown menus.
Please note the user will need contributor access to edit the record
Step 4 - Click 'Add row' to assign the event to additional users if needed.
Step 5 - Click 'Apply' to confirm the assignment.
Step 6 - A pop-up will then appear confirming the number of Alerts that have been assigned. Click 'OK'
Assigned users will receive a single email notification about the alert(s) they are assigned to.
Top tip: You can assign an alert to yourself to help you track which events you want to update. If you assign an alert to yourself, you will not receive an email notification.
